Note: There are two different ways to select a Material within the Food Safety Plan. You can either select the Material itself (which appears as a folder in this section) or select the Supplier(s) linked to the Material. The option you select will decide what Risk will be carried over for the Material.
Image: Option 1 Selection
1. Material: Select the Material, which has become a folder in this section, to select the specific Material from Master Data.
2. Select: Click 'Select' to place the Material in the Ingredient/Material list.
Image: Option 1
1. Risk: The Risk (if once was recorded) will be carried over from the Material's Master Data page. This Risk will be updated automatically if the Material Risk is updated via the Material's Master Data page. If the Risk has not yet been completed within the Material Master Data page, the Risk will remain blank.
2. Ingredient/Material Link: Click on the Material Name, which is a hyperlink, to open the main Material Master Data page where the Risk has been carried over from. See the screenshots below to see exactly where this Risk is located within the Material page.

1. Material Risk: Once within the Ingredient/Materials Details, scroll down to the 'Risk'. This Internal Risk is where the Risk for the Material in the Food Safety Plan will carry over from. This Risk can be updated from the Ingredient/Material Details page if needed. Click here to access the article on adding a Material.

1. Material Supplier: To select the Supplier(s) linked to this Material, expand the Material folder to select the Supplier Name, which will be located within the Material folder.
2. Select: Click 'Select' to place the Supplier in the Ingredient/Material list.
Note: If you want to add more than one Supplier for the same Material, you can do so by clicking the 'Add Line' button - replicating the above steps and selecting your required Suppliers one by one.
Image: Option 2
1. Material Assessment Risk: The Risk from the latest completed Material Full Assessment Record for this Material by this Supplier will be carried over. This Risk will be updated automatically when the next Material Full Assessment for this Material is completed by this Supplier. If a Material Full Assessment has not yet been completed for this Material by the Supplier, the Risk will remain blank, and when you access the hyperlink within the Supplier Name, you will be brought to the main Material page, not an Assessment Record. See the screenshots below to see exactly where this Risk is located.
2. Supplier Name: Click on the Supplier Name, which is a hyperlink, to open either the latest Material Full Assessment Record where the Risk has been carried over from, or to open the main Material Master Data page, depending on whether Material Full Assessment Record has been completed or not. If a Material Full Assessment Record has not been carried out you will simply see the Supplier Name only. However, if there has been a Material Full Assessment Record completed, you will see the Supplier Name with the Material Name in brackets.
Note: If a Material Full Assessment Record has been completed for the Material by the Supplier, the format of the 'Supplier Name(Material Name)' will change once you have clicked the 'Save' button. The formatting will update to Material Name(Supplier Name). This format change can be seen in the 'Image: Completed Materials' screenshot at the end of the article.

Note: The Risk from the Material Full Assessment will be carried over from the 'Risk Assessment - Absence of Control' unless the 'Risk Assessment - Presence of Control' is enabled and completed in the Full Assessment workflow, as the presence of control risk outcome will override the 'Absence of Control Risk Outcome.
