Supply Chain Map
Located in the Supply Chain Management module is a tab called 'Supply Chain Map' which will populate the Supplier and Material Relationships within your site. The Supply Chain Map will show, by default, your Manufacturers and the Materials they manufacture first, followed by your Supplier Relationships (Parents = Agent, Brokers, Corporate Entity, etc.) to Manufacturers (Child) and the Materials they manufacture.

1. Supplier: The name of the Suppliers who are selected as a Parent appear in this column. A 'Parent' Supplier, e.g. Agent, Broker, Corporate Site, etc., is a Supplier who supplies Materials through a Manufacturer (Child). They do not manufacture the Material themselves. These Suppliers will have the relationship of 'Parent' in the Supplier Relationship section of the Supplier pages in Master Data.
Note: The Supplier in the 'Supplier' column is not always linked to the Material in the 'Material' column. If the Supplier is linked to the Material it will appear in the 'Supplied By' column as well.
2. Manufacturer: The name of the Manufacturers appears in this column. A Manufacturer is a Supplier who manufacturers the Material. The Manufacturer may provide the Material directly to you, or considered as a 'Child', who is connected with a Parent, e.g. Agent, Broker, Corporate Site, etc., who supplies the Material through the Manufacturer (Child). The Manufacturers will have the relationship of 'Manufacturer' in the Supplier Material Relationship section of the Supplier and Material pages in Master Data.
Note: The Manufacturer in the 'Manufacturer' column is not always linked to the Supplier in the 'Supplied By' column. If the 'Manufacturer' Supplier is linked to the 'Supplied By' column, the 'Supplied By' Supplier will appear in the 'Supplier' column beside the 'Manufacturer'.
3. Material: The name of the Material appears in this column.
Note: All Materials from Master Data will appear in the 'Material' column regardless of if they have Suppliers associated with them or not. If the 'Material' is linked to a Supplier as 'Manufacturer', the Supplier will appear in the 'Manufacturer' column and if the 'Material' is linked to a Supplier as 'Supplied By', the Supplier will appear in the 'Supplied' By' column.
4. Supplied By: The name of the Suppliers who supply the Material will appear here. These Suppliers will have the relationship of 'Supplied By' in the Supplier Material Relationship section of the Supplier and Material pages in Master Data.
Note: The Supplier in the 'Supplied By' column is not always linked to the Supplier in the 'Manufacturer' column. If the 'Supplied By' Supplier is linked to the 'Manufacturer' column, the 'Supplier By' Supplier will appear in the 'Supplier' column beside the 'Manufacturer'.
5. Customer: The name of the Customers, which the Supplier in the 'Supplied By' column is approved for, will appear here. These Customers will have the Supplier Customer Relationship section of the Supplier and Customer pages in Master Data completed. If there are no Customers completed in the Supplier Customer Relationship section, this will remain blank in the Supply Chain Map.
Note: The Customer in the 'Customer' column is not always linked to the Supplier in the 'Manufacturer' column or the 'Material' in the 'Material' column. This detail will never populate in the Supply Chain Map. The Customers linked to the 'Manufacturer' or 'Material' must be checked within the individual Supplier or Material pages in Master Data.
