Add a Cause
All Categories, including Causes, are used to set up a predefined list of elements that can then be applied throughout the Safefood360° modules without having to type these categories twice, or to remove the fear of an operator not knowing the correct category that should be selected. Causes can otherwise be known as 'Root Causes' and they are used for categorising and recording the root causes of your raised Corrective Actions. Similar to the Nonconformance Category that you can assign to a Corrective Action, you can also assign the Root Cause analysis a standard category. This allows you to get powerful Reports from the system which can tell you immediately what are your most common Root Causes that are leading to nonconformances being raised in the first place.

1. Name: Enter the name of the required Cause. [Mandatory]
2. Folder: Place your Cause into a folder to keep your data organised. If you do not have many different Causes to add, you can add them to the grey default system folder called 'Causes'. To add a new folder or sub-folder, click 'New Folder' and then name it. The changes will be automatically saved when you click outside of the box.
3. Description: Add a Description of the Cause to help other system users to better understand when this Cause is applicable and should be selected.

2. Cancel: Click the 'Cancel' button to cancel your progress and return to the main Categories page. Clicking 'Cancel' will cause you to lose all of your progress without the possibility of recovering any of the information previously entered.
