How to Raise an Ingredient/Material Test Record

Note: Ingredient/Material Programmes must be set up first in the Microbiological Control module before an Ingredient/Material Testing Record can be created. Click here to access the article on setting up an Ingredient/Material Testing Programme.

An Ingredient/Material Testing Record can be added in three ways. Below are the steps that must be carried out in order to add an Ingredient/Material Testing Record. Expand each step below for further explanation.

Option 1: Using the 'Add Result>Ingredient/Material Test' Button within the Microbiological Control Module

Expand or collapse content Step 1: Navigate to Microbiological Control via 'PRP Control>Microbiological Control'. Click the 'Add Result>Ingredient/Material Test' Button

To manually add an Ingredient/Material Testing Record in the Microbiological Control module, navigate to the Microbiological Control module via 'PRP Control>Microbiological Control' and click the 'Add Result>Ingredient/Material Test’ button.

A pop up will appear on screen prompting you to select the Ingredient/Material Testing Programme for which you wish to add the Ingredient/Material Testing Record. Using the dropdown, or typing into the box, source your preferred Ingredient/Material Testing Programme and click 'Create'.

Once created, the Ingredient/Material Testing Record will open on the Record workflow stage. However, the Record will not be placed into the 'Actions' tab until you have clicked either the 'Save' or 'Save and Submit' buttons.

Option 2: Using the 'Actions>Add Record' Buttons of a Specific Ingredient/Material Testing Programme

Expand or collapse content Step 1: Navigate to Microbiological Control via 'PRP Control>Microbiological Control', Access 'Plan' Tab and Click 'Actions>Add Record' Buttons

To manually add aa Ingredient/Material Testing Record from a Ingredient/Material Testing Programme, navigate to the Microbiological Control module via 'PRP Control>Microbiological Control', access the 'Plan’ tab and locate the Ingredient/Material Testing Programme you wish to raise the Record from.

Once you have access the Ingredient/Material Testing Programme, by clicking on the Name, use the 'Action>Add Record' buttons to open an Ingredient/Material Testing Record.

Once created, the Ingredient/Material Testing Record will open on the Record workflow stage. However, the Record will not be placed into the 'Actions' tab until you have clicked either the 'Save' or 'Save and Submit' buttons.

Option 3: Using the 'Scheduler' within the Ingredient/Material Testing Programme

Expand or collapse content Step 1: Set Up Scheduler within Ingredient/Material Testing Programme

If the Scheduler has been set within the Ingredient/Material Testing Programme, Ingredient/Material Testing Records will be automatically generated by the system at the frequency detailed.

Ingredient/Material Testing Records generated via a Scheduler will be placed in the 'Actions' tab of the Microbiological Control module and opened in the Record workflow stage.
