How to Raise a Final Product Test Record

Note: Product Testing Programmes must be set up first in the Microbiological Control module before a Product Testing Record can be created. Click here to access the article on setting up a Product Testing Programme.

A Product Testing Record can be added in three ways. Below are the steps that must be carried out in order to add a Product Testing Record. Expand each step below for further explanation.

Option 1: Using the 'Add Result>Final Product Test' Button within the Microbiological Control Module

To manually add a Product Testing Record in the Microbiological Control module, navigate to the Microbiological Control module via 'PRP Control>Microbiological Control' and click the 'Add Result>Final Product Test’ button.

A pop up will appear on screen prompting you to select the Product Testing Programme for which you wish to add the Product Testing Record. Using the dropdown, or typing into the box, source your preferred Product Testing Programme and click 'Create'.

Once created, the Product Testing Record will open on the Record workflow stage. However, the Record will not be placed into the 'Actions' tab until you have clicked either the 'Save' or 'Save and Submit' buttons.

Option 2: Using the 'Actions>Add Record' Buttons of a Specific Product Testing Programme

Expand or collapse content Step 1: Navigate to Microbiological Control via 'PRP Control>Microbiological Control', Access 'Plan' Tab and Click 'Actions>Add Record' Buttons

To manually add a Product Testing Record from a Product Testing Programme, navigate to the Microbiological Control module via 'PRP Control>Microbiological Control', access the 'Plan’ tab and locate the Product Testing Programme you wish to raise the Record from.

Once you have access the Product Testing Programme, by clicking on the Name, use the 'Action>Add Record' buttons to open a Product Testing Record.

Once created, the Product Testing Record will open on the Record workflow stage. However, the Record will not be placed into the 'Actions' tab until you have clicked either the 'Save' or 'Save and Submit' buttons.

Option 3: Using the 'Scheduler' within the Product Testing Programme

If the Scheduler has been set within the Product Testing Programme, Product Testing Records will be automatically generated by the system at the frequency detailed.

Product Testing Records generated via a Scheduler will be placed in the 'Actions' tab of the Microbiological Control module and opened in the Record workflow stage.
