Get Started
Getting started with Safefood 360° is typically a three-step process. It is recommended that you complete the Initial Setup first, as well as the preceding articles Commitment to Security and Prerequisites in the Introduction chapter before continuing.
1. Master Data
The first step involves the building or uploading of your Master Data (Products, Materials, Items, Contacts, Employees, etc.). It is recommended that you complete the Master Data building/upload first, as Master Data is used heavily throughout the system when building Programmes, completing Records, etc.
You can either complete the building of your Master Data manually or reach out to the Safefood360° Support Team via the 'Help' button or directly at '[email protected]' who can assist you with Master Data upload options, which will greatly reduce the manual effort required.
Tip: You may notice from the screenshot above that the Documents (SOPs, Records, Specifications, etc) are also part of the Master Data dropdown in Safefood360°. However, they are uploaded using separate workbooks. If you have your Documents organised and ready to upload in Safefood360°, you can manually add each Document or reach out to the Safefood360° Support Team who can assist you with Document upload options, which will greatly reduce the manual effort required.
However, you may want to review your procedures and make sure that all your Documents are up to date before proceeding with the Document mass upload in Safefood360°. As your Documents content, e.g. Policies, SOPs, etc, may need to be updated to reflect your use of Safefood360° first. Therefore you may need to take time to update your Documents before uploading them to Safefood360°, as Documents must be updated within their original program format before being uploaded to Safefood360°, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. The content of Documents are not updated within Safefood360° directly. Documents are simply stored in Safefood360° with the capability to be linked within Programmes/Records, have Document Reviews scheduled and Document Approval workflows set up.

2. Programme Setup
The next step is to pick a handful of modules, for example, Internal Auditing, Calibration, Cleaning or Pest Control, and define your Programmes. We recommend that you start with a few small modules to get accustomed to the system. This is one of the many great benefits of Safefood360°, you can convert over at your own pace and in your own time. The most successful implementations are those that are phased and supervised by a Professional Services Implementation Specialist.
3. Using the System
Once your Master Data and Documents are in place and some Programmes have been defined, you can get to work and start using the system.
