The Removal of a User from a User Group selected within a Document's Approval Workflow
If you have removed a User from an already Existing User Group that has been selected within a Document's Approval Workflow there may be certain effects on the Document.
This article will explain the possible effects on a Document's Approval Workflow when a User is removed from a User Group in Settings.
If a User is removed from a User Group when a Document is not currently going through an Approval Workflow, nothing will happen to the Document.
Removing a User from a User Group will not start a Document Approval Workflow.
The User will simply be removed from the Approval Workflow in the Document.
If a User is removed from a User Group when a Document is currently going through an Approval Workflow, the User will be automatically removed from the Approval Workflow.
The User will no longer have a 'My Action' to complete, either 'Review' or 'Approve' the Document, depending on the User Group Role within the Approval Workflow.
If the User who has been removed was the last outstanding:
Reviewer
- The Document Approval Workflow will move straight to the Approvers and those marked as Approvers will be notified via email.
Approver
- The Document Approval Workflow will move straight to Document Approved and those marked as Notify of Change will be notified via email.
