How to Raise a Code of Practice Record

Note: Code of Practice Programmes must be set up first in the Code of Practice module before a Code of Practice Record can be created. Click here to access the article on setting up a Code of Practice Programme.

A Code of Practice Record can be added in three ways. Below are the steps that must be carried out in order to add a Code of Practice Record. Expand each step below for further explanation.

Option 1: Using the 'Add Code of Practice' Button within the Code of Practice Module

Expand or collapse content Step 1: Navigate to Code of Practice via 'PRP Control>Code of Practice'. Click the 'Add Code of Practice' Button

To manually add a Code of Practice Record in the Code of Practice module, navigate to the Code of Practice module via 'PRP Control>Code of Practice' and click the 'Add Code of Practice’ button.

A pop up will appear on screen prompting you to select the Code of Practice Programme for which you wish to add the Code of Practice Record. Using the dropdown, or typing into the box, source your preferred Code of Practice Programme and click 'Create'.

Once created, the Code of Practice Record will open on the Record workflow stage. However, the Record will not be placed into the 'Actions' tab until you have clicked either the 'Save' or 'Save and Submit' buttons.

Option 2: Using the 'Actions>Add Record' Buttons of a Specific Code of Practice Programme

Expand or collapse content Step 1: Navigate to Code of Practice via 'PRP Control>Code of Practice', Access 'Plan' Tab and Click 'Actions>Add Record' Buttons

To manually add a Code of Practice Record from a Code of Practice Programme, navigate to the Code of Practice module via 'PRP Control>Code of Practice', access the 'Plan’ tab and locate the Code of Practice Programme you wish to raise the Record from.

Once you have access the Code of Practice Programme, by clicking on the Name, use the 'Action>Add Record' buttons to open a Code of Practice Record.

Once created, the Code of Practice Record will open on the Record workflow stage. However, the Record will not be placed into the 'Actions' tab until you have clicked either the 'Save' or 'Save and Submit' buttons.

Option 3: Using the 'Scheduler' within the Code of Practice Programme

If the Scheduler has been set within the Code of Practice Programme, Code of Practice Records will be automatically generated by the system at the frequency detailed.

Code of Practice Records generated via a Scheduler will be placed in the 'Actions' tab of the Code of Practice module and opened in the Record workflow stage.
